“A Seniors Residence, young in years and spirit, which aims to create a family atmosphere for those who live within its walls and gives its residents a chance to enjoy from it the magnificent view over the Bay of Islands and the City of Corner Brook.
The devoted members of its staff spare no efforts to make its residents feel at home and offer them a little extra spirit and laughter, while attending to their every need. This is a home where it is easy to make new friends from every corner of Newfoundland, as well as making it easy for family members to visit at any time of the day. So, consider making Mountain View Retirement Centre if you have come to this point in your life where daily duties have become a burden.
This is a place where you will enjoy the daily round of life. Skilful cooks make eating a pleasure with their ability to satisfy a considerable variety of taste while throwing in the occasional and sometimes the not so occasional traditional Newfoundland meal. The home is kept spotless, laundry is cleaned on a regular basis, and if you need help with your bed, or mobility, or bathing, or nursing care, you can rely on an attendant to give you prompt help.
There is no lack of activity at the home. The spiritual is valued as is witnessed by many observers and celebrations by many Newfoundland Churches. The home also welcomes a variety of musical and other performers and frequent birthdays and anniversary celebrations and times for dancing. High points have included the visit of the Stanley Cup, the Ugly Sweater competition and the Scottish Country Dancers and if you have hobbies like knitting, crocheting, model boat making or gardening, they are encouraged.
Mountain View is a special place, which many people over the years have come to view as home, and have considered the Staff their friends. Keep it and its Residents in a special place in mind.”
