Amenities

Facility

Our aim is to make Mountain View Retirement Centre your home. To make your transition as smooth as possible, our suites are fully furnished. However, your own personal touch is welcome, so feel free to complete finishing touches with your own prized possessions. The choice is yours!

Each suite was designed and built with your safety and comfort as a top priority. We currently have 88 rooms and our facility is fully wheelchair accessible to accommodate everyone’s needs. Government subsidy is also available to those who need it.

The beautiful view from our lounge area and warm atmosphere throughout our building will add to your life experience. Come and relax by the fireplace in the peaceful atmosphere of our lounge or enjoy your favourite show on our large screen TV. On beautiful summer days you can enjoy our spacious outdoor patio or stroll through our courtyard.

Safety & Security

Peace of mind is important for living a comfortable lifestyle and we have made it a priority at Mountain View Retirement Centre.

Our residents can be assured that safety and security is an important consideration with our state-of-the-art emergency call and response system throughout the facility. Each suite has an emergency call button and smoke alarm. Also, should there be an extended power outage, residents can take comfort by one of our propane fireplaces and while still enjoying fresh, hot meals cooked on our propane stove.

Healthcare

Residents have the peace of mind of knowing that all hospitals in the region are only minutes away. We have a Licensed Practical Nurse on staff who works closely with a local Nurse Practitioner to ensure the best of care. All staff members are certified for Emergency First Aid and CPR by St. John Ambulance.

Also, should a resident prefer the services of their own personal family Doctor, arrangements can be made to accommodate visiting physicians. Public Health Nurses, Dietitians, and Social Workers from the Department of Health and Community Services make regular visits. The experienced staff at Mountain View work closely with health professionals to ensure the optimum health of our residents.
